| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Regression from Go 1.6 to Go 1.7rc1: we had broken the ability for users to vendor "golang.org/x/net/http2" or "golang.org/x/net/route" because we were vendoring them ourselves and cmd/go and cmd/compile do not understand multiple vendor directories across multiple GOPATH workspaces (e.g. user's $GOPATH and default $GOROOT). As a short-term fix, since fixing cmd/go and cmd/compile is too invasive at this point in the cycle, just rename "golang.org" to "golang_org" for the standard library's vendored copy. Now almost all the APIs return OpError as a common error type except Lookup, Resolve and Parse APIs. The Lookup, Resolve and Parse APIs return more specific errors such as DNSError, AddrError or ParseError. An OpError may contain nested error information. For example, Dial may return an OpError containing a DNSError, AddrError, unexposed type/value or other package's type/value like the following: OpError{/* dial info */, Err: &DNSError{}} OpError{/* dial info */, Err: &AddrError{}} OpError{/* dial info */, Err: <unexposed type or value>} OpError{/* dial info */, Err: <other package's type or value>} and Read and Write may return an OpError containing other OpError when an application uses io.Copy or similar: OpError{/* for io.Reader */, Err: &OpError{/* for io.Writer */}} When an endpoint is created for connection-oriented byte-stream protocols, Read may return an io.EOF when the connection is closed by remote endpoint. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This changes fixes two issues with regard to handling routing messages as follows: - Misparsing on platforms (such as FreeBSD) supporting multiple architectures in the same kernel (kern.supported_archs="amd64 i386") - Misparsing with unimplemented messages such as route, interface address state notifications To fix those issues, this change implements all the required socket address parsers, adds a processor architecture identifying function to FreeBSD and tests.
